At today's special events, dozens of guests are bringing their own digital cameras and taking fun, high-quality pictures. The problem is that as the event organizer, whether you are the bride, a girl turning 16, or a corporate event coordinator, chances are you will never actually get to see these photos. Enter the Kedai Upload StationTM.
The Kedai Upload StationTM is a portable photo sharing device that allows your guests to upload their digital photos at your event. After your event is over, Kedai places the uploaded photos in a custom web gallery. The Kedai Upload StationTM also displays a slideshow of the uploaded photos during your event, on the included 24" High Definition display.
The Kedai Upload StationTM has a card reader and a touchscreen. The card reader can read the images stored on the memory card inside a digital camera. When a guest wants to upload his photos, he removes the memory card from his camera and inserts it into the card reader. The Kedai Upload StationTM then displays a series of instructions on the touchscreen, guiding the user through the upload process.

Remember the tradition of placing disposable cameras on the tables at a wedding? Our experience has shown that people take better pictures when they are using their own cameras. We at Kedai call this Camera AllegianceTM. With Kedai, your guests get to use their own cameras - we just make sure that you get the pictures.
2) Event Based UploadingTM
You may be thinking, "My guests already bring their cameras to my event - can't they upload from home?" Websites are slow. Internet connections are slow. People forget. Where does that leave you? Kedai gives you Event Based UploadingTM, allowing your guests to upload at your event, where it's quick, easy, and part of the fun.
3) Event Based Web GalleryTM
With conventional web galleries, 10 guests taking pictures = 10 places where the pictures are uploaded + 100s of unrelated photos to sort through. Kedai gives you an Event Based Web GalleryTM, so 10 guests taking pictures = 1 place where the pictures are uploaded + 0 unrelated photos. Isn't math fun?
The price for renting the Kedai Upload StationTM starts at $299*. The price always includes the full rental fee, which includes the Kedai Upload StationTM and a 24" HD display, round trip shipping, and all taxes and surcharges. There is no fee for the web gallery.

We suggest reserving your unit about 6 months before your event, but if your event falls on a popular date, such as a holiday weekend, we recommend reserving as soon as possible.
We ship our units via the major shipping carriers, including UPS and FedEx. The exact carrier, as well as tracking number, will be provided to you at the time of shipment.
We schedule our shipments such that they should be delivered one business day prior to your event. If this is insufficient for your event, please place your order over the phone and let us know at the time of your order.
You can choose your shipment location at the time that the order is placed. We generally recommend appointing a friend to be responsible for bringing the unit to your event, and sending it back afterwards, and suggest that you have the unit shipped to him/her. Please note that regardless of the delivery location, an adult needs to be present on the day of delivery to sign for the package. Kedai is not responsible if the unit is not delivered on time because no one was present to accept delivery.
Assembling the Kedai Upload StationTM consists of placing on a table and plugging it in. Seriously. But to be safe, we enclose detailed instructions with pictures.
The Kedai Upload StationTM must be placed near an outlet, and we suggest placing it along a wall so the power cord doesn't cross a heavily trafficked area. Beyond that, it's really up to you. From past experience, we suggest suggest placing the unit inside the main ballroom near the band stand. Alternatively, placing the unit right outside the entrance to the main ballroom can also be an effective location.
Guests begin the upload process by inserting their camera's memory card into the card reader located on the Kedai Upload StationTM. The Kedai Upload StationTM detects the insertion and automatically starts the interactive upload process.
Kedai utilizes two methods that ensure that your guests only upload the photos that they want to upload.
1) Patent pending algorithms identify images not taken at your event and make sure that they are not uploaded.
2) Users are shown thumbnails of all the images that are uploaded. They can use the touch screen to remove individual images.
Absolutely. In fact, guests should be encouraged to share repeatedly. After a guest shares for the first time, the Kedai Upload StationTM will only upload photos that have been taken since the most recent upload.
This depends on the number of images on an uploader's camera card, as well as the resolution of the individual images. On average, we've found that it takes between 1 and 2 minutes for a guest to upload.
No, the contents of guests' memory cards are not affected in any way.
Once guests start uploading photos, the Kedai Upload StationTM automatically displays a continuous slideshow of the uploaded images on the connected HD display.
A prepaid return shipping label is included with the Kedai Upload StationTM. The unit and the 24" HD display should be packaged in the original shipping box, and given to the shipping carrier specified on the shipping label.
The Kedai Upload StationTM MUST be returned to Kedai on the first business day following your event. To avoid confusion, Kedai will provide you with the exact return date at the time that your order is placed. Kedai relies on getting its units back on time so they are ready for future events in a timely fashion. Failure to return the unit on the return date will result in a late fee of $50/per day. If you would like to have the unit for additional time, please place your order over the phone and specify this to the sales agent.
At the time that you place your order, you can decide whether you would like to drop off the unit at an authorized shipping facility, or have us arrange a pick up. Please note that pickups must occur from the same address as the delivery, and an adult must be with the unit during the entire business day until the unit is picked up. Failure to complete the pickup because someone is not present when the pickup is attempted may result in the return being delayed, which carries a late fee of $50/per day.
Upon receipt of the returned unit, we transfer all of the uploaded photos to a dedicated web gallery. Visit the "My Event" section of our website to see a sample gallery.
While uploading, users have the opportunity to enter their names using a keyboard displayed on the touchscreen. The photos in the web gallery are organized according to the names that were entered.
